eKōR® and Today's Work from Home Solutions ...
When the world made a massive shift to work from home in an effort to limit or diminish the spread of the pandemic, there was an aggregate sense of anxiety and impending disaster. How could we possibly switch to working from home? What about regular meetings, sales presentations and project review sessions? Can an entire team actually work from home ? And do they have the right technology, the right set-up, or are they going to be sitting at the kitchen table for eight to ten hours a day?
After several months and a global shift things seem a little more settled for some people at least. Before Covid made its entrance, less than 30% of the working population worked from home, two years later 60% of the working office worker population are operating substantially from home. Some of this may transition back to the office ultimately, but some for many economic reasons may find benefit from the change. For example, the amount of commercial office space required for operation is significantly reduced. There is also a productivity increase for workers that require focused workplace settings in order to do detailed work. They are more able to work free of the interruptions experienced in a highly social open concept office.
So, given this, what will a “Work From Home” future look like?
ANC is a small team so we quickly experienced and needed to resolve issues that arose from nearly everyone on the team being “out of the office”. Like many others, we experienced some ups and downs with new platforms for communication and work flow. We succeeded by staying connected electronically and by remaining flexible, and making adjustments until there was balance in our process again.
The other element that quickly became clear as we connected with customers and colleagues, was that as an acoustic supplier, ANC could help people to do more than just “cope” with the change. We could help them find new ways to thrive in their new work environment.
Our core belief is that everyone deserves and excels in an inspiring workplace. Promoting professional wellbeing, happiness and success, doesn’t begin or end at their desk in the office. Acoustics are an enormous part of the experience in a room. Any room. People consistently produce their best in a great working environment, wherever that may be. For many people, it’s now at a home or home office workplace.
